Back to School

Yesterday was the first day of school. We have quickly fallen back into our daily school routine, and it almost feels as if summer vacation was two months ago...not just 2 days ago. Zoe is so happy to back in school learning new "things" and playing with her friends. We are both off to a great start, and it looks like it's going to be another fabulous year!

Jets

On our way to Fresno, we broke up the trip by staying in Livermore. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn. The bathtub happened to be a jacuzzi tub. I told the kids that we could take a bath later and turn on the tub so the "jets shoot out". The kids got super excited to take a bath and asked "do the jets just shoot around the bathroom?". At first I was confused until I realized that they thought actual, little jets came out of the tub. I love how kids can be so literal sometimes!

Blackbeards

Last week we made our annual summertime trip to Fresno. On our first evening in town, we took the kids to Blackbeards to play a round of mini golf. I think it was quite possibly the quickest game of miniature golf I've ever played. Steve & I were so hot by hole #9 that we literally encouraged the kids to go as quickly as possible. I think I can safely say that we are all happy that it doesn't get over 100˚ at our house on a regular basis. Despite the heat, we all had a great time!
