Rhododendron Parade

This year Zoe's preschool participated in Eureka's annual Rhododendron Parade. On Friday afternoon, Woodside families decorated a trailer with balloons and tons of rhododendrons. Then this morning we got to ride on the float through the streets of Eureka while waving wildly and throwing candy to viewers on the sidelines. The kids had a lot of fun, and our float actually came in 2nd place out of all the schools that entered!

Just For Fun!

Found this fun website (photofunia) and thought I'd post a photo of Noah...Warhol style.

Photo Shoot Gone BAD!

I was desperately trying to get one good picture of the kids together. Here are a few highlights. As you can see I didn't have much success. Hopefully I'll have better luck next time.

Easter Eggs

Here are few pictures of Zoe dying Eggs. Easter egg dying is always so much fun! Towards the end Steve and Zoe put their final eggs into multiple colors. They were having a competition to see whose egg could come out brown. I don't think either of them achieved an actual brown color, but there are definitely two eggs that have very unique colors.

Happy Birthday Noah!

On Saturday, April 11, Noah turned 1. This year has gone by so quickly! As you can see from the photos he isn't really a baby anymore. The first photo was taken on the day he came home from the hospital. The rest of the photos are from Noah's mini birthday celebration at Granny's house. Next weekend we are going to celebrate his birthday with my family in Fresno. We took Noah to the doctor today for his one year check up. He weighs 22lbs 13 ounces (50th percentile) and is 30 1/2 inches long (80th percentile). Besides a wandering eye (which we still don't know if it's anything to worry about or not) He seems healthy and happy. Now we are just eagerly waiting for him to start walking!!!!

Argh Matey!

Today is Steve's birthday. Zoe insisted we get party favors for Daddy's special day. She chose pirate party favors (she didn't even know they were the only party favors that were 75% off) We all wore pirate patches and played "hide the gold". I'm sure it's just how Steve planned to spend his 35th birthday!

Garage Sales Rock!

Zoe has a bike that was passed on to her last year. She loves it, but she really is too small for it. She will never be able to learn how to ride a bike without training wheels on it because she can't touch ground (even with the seat as low as it will go) We've been wanting to get her a smaller bike, but we refuse to pay full price. This past weekend we found the perfect bike at a yard sale. It's in GREAT condition, and after looking at the price on line it seems we got a great deal. (looks like we saved at least $50) We went bike riding at my school the other day. As you can see from the photos she had a great time...most of the time. The crying photo was soon after she launched herself over the handle bars (she's still trying to learn how to use the brakes instead of panicking)
