Pineapple Pete

Pineapple Penny
Pineapple Pete
The world's largest maze. It stetches over 2 acres and is 2.46 miles of paths crafted 14,000 colorful Hawaiin plants

Enjoying a Dole Whip

Here are a few photos from the Dole Plantation in Oahu. We each got to sample a yummy dole whip (a soft serve, pineapple, frozen dessert). We walked through the pineapple gardens and even attempted to navigate the world's largest maze.

Boogie Boarder

Zoe learned to swim the week before we left for Hawaii, and she really developed as a swimmer while we were on vacation. She also decided to give boogie boarding a try. She LOVED it! She learned how to paddle out, how to dive under waves, and how to wait for the perfect wave to ride. Now that she has mastered the boogie board she is planning on taking surfing lessons the next time we are in Hawaii.

SFO

Here we are at SFO waiting and waiting for our flight to take off. We spent LOTS of time walking up and down the corridor trying to get wiggles out. As most of you know, it didn't work. Noah was a complete disaster on the plane. He screamed at least 4 1/2 out of the 5 1/2 hour trip! At least we can scratch "being those people on an airplane" off our list of things to do as a parent.

The iPod

Steve bought me an iPod for Christmas 4 or 5 years ago. Since I never use my "vintage" iPod anymore, I decided to give it to Zoe. She LOVES it! Here are some of my favorite shots of my "big girl" using her own iPod.

Snap Peas

Here's a photo of Noah showing off the snap peas from last week's CSA harvest. He actually climbed all the way up onto the table just so he could enjoy some of Farmer Eddie's delicious snap peas.

Super Sea Horse

For the past two weeks Zoe has been taking swim lessons. We put her in a class that was a little hard for her in hope that she would "really" start swimming on her own. By the end of her two weeks it seems that she has made real progress. She is actually swimming short distances by herself on her stomach and on her back. Way to go Zoe! Zoe really wants to go boogie boarding while we are in Hawaii. So hopefully she'll be able to use some of her new swimming skills while we are playing in warm ocean water.

Advanced Climbing

So Noah's climbing has become quite advanced. Today, after a few "too quiet" minutes, Steve found Noah sitting ON our dining room table drinking water from a glass. He no longer needs a stool. He can climb directly onto the dining room chair and from there he can apparently climb right onto the table. This takes "baby proofing" to a whole new level!
