Soccer Season

Last season Zoe played her 2nd season on the u10 Breakers team.  She played A LOT of forward and midfield (her favorite position) and had a chance to score many goals.

Noah played his 2nd second season on one of the HYSL u6 teams.  By the end of the season it was all really starting to "click" for him and he even scored his first goal!

Cross Country

Last Fall, Zoe and Noah both gave cross country a shot.  They were the two lone runners that represented Kneeland School in the Humboldt Youth Redwoods Running Club (HRRA) cross country meets.  The both LOVED running in the races and did surprising well for their first attempt at cross country.  So proud of my little runners!

July 2013 (Erie, PA)

Last summer the kids and I headed to Erie, PA to visit family.  It was my first real solo trip without Steve.  I loved that my kids were able to see/meet our east coast family!

I can't believe it's been over a year since I've blogged.  Let's just say life has gotten in the way :)
I have so many things to share and document, but for now a picture or two...

Toothless Wonder

Although Noah is 5, tonight he officially feels like a BIG boy.
After wiggling & wiggling, he lost his first baby tooth!
Wow, the littlest Macknicki is certainly growing up quickly!

Documentation of this momentous occasion was a must, but as you can see from the photos it was a little hard to capture the perfect photo due to this little guy's goofiness!

2013 Humboldt Tri Kids

Today Zoe competed in her 2nd Triathlon.  This year she took 4th place and bettered her time by 6 minutes!  We are so proud of our little athlete!

Night Owl Party

It's hard to believe that Zoe is 8 years old!

We celebrated by having a Night Owl Party.
Zoe's friends came in their pajamas and brought sleeping bags and blankets.  The party was in the evening and was like a slumber party, but in the end all the party guests slept in their own beds!

Happy Birthday to my smart, confident, outgoing, creative, athletic 8 year old!

Wipe Out!

Noah got a new, bigger bike for his birthday. He spent the morning trying to get the hang of the bigger bike. He got a little too confident on our rocky, hilly driveway and...WIPED OUT!

Bugtastic

Yesterday, we celebrated Noah's up and coming 5th birthday by having a bug party.  I was up until 3 AM the night before prepping for the party.  Although I felt exhausted, all the time and energy was worth it to see how happy Noah was.  I kept hearing him say, "Zoe look at what Mommy made"  and "Wow, look at that!"  All the details were definitely noticed by my little man.  Thanks to all the friends who made the trek up the hill to spend the day celebrating our (almost) 5 year old!!!!
